On Thursday 16 October 2025, Bohunt Wokingham Sixth proudly opened its doors for its first ever Open Evening, welcoming more than 675 visitors through the school to explore the brand-new Sixth Form building.
Prospective students and their families had the opportunity to meet teachers, discover the wide range of A Level subjects on offer, and sample refreshments prepared by our café team. Visitors also had the chance to speak to current Bohunt Liphook Sixth Form students, gaining first-hand insight into the experience of Sixth Form life across the Bohunt Education Trust.
Led by Mr Woolley (Deputy Headteacher and Sixth Form Lead), the event was designed to feel different from a traditional open evening, with a ‘festival-style’ atmosphere throughout the night. Guests enjoyed live music from both staff and student bands, explored interactive subject stands, and took part in photo opportunities at the photo booth.
A highlight of the evening was the Deputy Head’s talk, which outlined the vision and values of Bohunt Wokingham Sixth, an ambitious, inclusive, and forward-thinking post-16 provision. There were also dedicated areas showcasing the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), Oxbridge pathways, SEND support, and the pastoral care available to all students.
The success of the evening was a true team effort, with contributions from staff, students, and our incredible Sixth Form Ambassadors, who welcomed visitors, guided tours, and helped bring the event to life. The Sixth Form Ambassadors have already made important decisions about the Sixth Form, including ensuring that the cafe has matcha!
The atmosphere was captured perfectly with drone footage taken on the night by our very own site team member, Mr Woodcock, highlighting the excitement and energy surrounding this next chapter for Bohunt Wokingham.
